The ARVO Foundation, supported by the Glaser family, offers the $10,000 Bert M. Glaser, MD Award for Innovative Research in Retina to recognize early-career investigators whose novel discoveries have significantly advanced understanding or treatment of retinal diseases. Eligible applicants are ARVO members who are clinician-scientists in the retina specialty and are students/trainees or early-career researchers. The recognized discovery of a drug, technique, or disease mechanism must have occurred within five years of the application date, and applications require letters of support. Applications open August 1 and close October 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
