About this program

The Campbell Foundation funds innovative research relevant to the HIV community, with typical awards ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 for first-year costs and possible partial or co-funding of larger projects. Applicants must be organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status; individuals and for-profit entities are ineligible, and only one research team per institution may submit an LOI within a one-year period. A two-page, lay-language LOI is required before a full proposal and is accepted in January, April, July, and October; requests may not include large equipment or travel, and indirect costs are limited to 10%.
