The Curran Fellowships

About this program

The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers the Curran Fellowships, annual travel and research grants supporting scholars who need access to primary print and archival sources on the British periodical press of the long nineteenth century. Research may address magazines, newspapers, and serial publications in Britain or locations where British periodicals circulated worldwide. Applicants of any age and disciplinary background are eligible, and RSVP membership is generally not required; proposed work must treat the periodical press as an object of study in its own right. Applications are due October 15, with recommendation letters due October 22; RSVP officers and directors may not apply.
