About this program
The Seismological Society of America (SSA) offers the Harry Fielding Reid Medal, its highest honor, for outstanding contributions to seismology or earthquake engineering; it may be awarded no more than once annually. Any individual may be nominated except current SSA Board members, member-elects, or officers. Nominations must be submitted by an eligible SSA member by September 30 and include a nomination letter of no more than two pages, two to five support letters (at least two from SSA members), and a signed nominator disclosure form.
