About this program
The University of Michigan’s Wallace House Center for Journalists offers the Livingston Awards, recognizing outstanding reporting by journalists under 35 with $10,000 prizes in local, national and international reporting. Eligible work includes text, video, audio and data visualization published in U.S.-controlled media during 2026; still photography and student work produced solely for class or campus publications are excluded. Entrants must be 34 or younger as of December 31, 2026, and may submit one individual entry consisting of a single piece or up to three related pieces. Entries open in November 2026 and are due by February 1, 2027; there is no entry fee.
