The American Society of Civil Engineers’ Engineering Mechanics Institute offers the Theodore von Karman Medal to recognize distinguished achievement in engineering mechanics applicable to any branch of civil engineering. The annual award consists of a bronze medal, with nominations due November 1. Nominees may be of any age, nationality, or Society membership status. Nominations must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three letters of recommendation.
