About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Thomas A. Middlebrooks Award to recognize an outstanding paper making a significant contribution to geotechnical engineering. The award includes a certificate and an honorarium, with the amount determined annually based on the endowment’s income. Eligible papers must have been published by ASCE during the 12-month period ending in June of the year preceding the award and cannot have received the Norman or Croes Medal; ASCE membership is not required. Nominations are due October 1 and must include a signed cover letter and a copy of the published paper.
