About this program
The Genetics Society of America (GSA) invites nominations for the Thomas Hunt Morgan Medal, honoring GSA members who have demonstrated lifetime achievement and exceptional contributions to genetics, along with sustained mentorship of fellow geneticists. Nominees must be GSA members who have held an independent position for more than 15 years. Nomination materials include a cover letter, NIH-style biosketch, lived-experience statement, and responses addressing research impact, community contributions, mentorship, and scientific leadership. Nominations are due October 1, 2026, and remain valid for three award cycles.
