Thrasher Research Fund Early Career Awards

About this program

The Thrasher Research Fund’s Early Career Awards support new investigators conducting innovative, hypothesis-driven medical research that directly addresses children’s health and has potential for meaningful clinical impact. Awards provide up to $25,000 in direct costs for projects lasting up to two years, with up to 32 awards offered annually through two funding cycles. Eligible applicants are physicians in residency or fellowship, or within one year of completion, and postdoctoral researchers within three years of earning their doctoral degree; projects must be conducted under the guidance of a qualified mentor. Applicants may be from institutions worldwide regardless of citizenship but are ineligible if they have received an NIH K award or CTSA support, and applications require an initial concept paper followed by an invited full proposal.
