Transformative Climate Communities Round 6 PLANNING Grant (FY 25-26)

About this program

The California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities Round 6 Planning Grant provides $300,000 awards for two-year, community-led planning activities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance health, environmental, economic, and climate-resilience benefits in disadvantaged communities. Eligible activities include community engagement, climate and adaptation planning, partnership and governance development, policy updates, health equity planning, and preparation for future implementation funding; matching funds are not required. Lead applicants may include California Native American Tribes, tribally owned nonprofits, 501(c)(3) organizations, public agencies, special districts, joint powers authorities, public utilities, and mutual water companies, and each application must include at least one co-applicant. Project areas must be contiguous and designated as disadvantaged communities under the TCC Guidelines; applications are due September 30, 2026, with awards anticipated in spring 2027.
