Translational Diagnostics: Advanced Training Elective

About this program

The CAP Foundation offers up to $5,000 for a four-week, hands-on advanced training elective at Ventana Medical Systems’ Tucson headquarters in 2027, focused on developing novel histopathology-based diagnostic assays. Training may include molecular pathology, R&D innovation, digital pathology, instrumentation, clinical affairs, and tissue sample management, with funds supporting travel and living expenses. Applicants must be pathology residents who have completed at least one year of residency by the application deadline and should demonstrate a background and interest in molecular pathology. Applications are due November 2, 2026, and require program director approval, a recommendation letter, confirmation of salary and benefits support, written responses, a CV, and a professional headshot.
