The Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) offers Translational Science Accelerator (Trax) pilot awards of $25,000–$50,000 for one-year projects that address challenges in the translational research pipeline through new methods, tools, technologies, implementation strategies, or feasibility studies. Projects should improve the speed, efficiency, quality, or impact of translational research and produce solutions generalizable across research areas. Eligible principal investigators must be full-time faculty at USC or CHLA as of the June 12, 2026, letter of intent deadline and devote at least 30% of their professional effort to research. Applicants must complete the LOI, pitch session, development meeting, and full proposal process; LOIs are due June 12, 2026.
