Travel funding — Advancing Women in Science and Gender Equality (Weizmann Institute)

About this program

The Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Gender Equality at the Weizmann Institute of Science offers year‑round travel funding to cover flight costs for (1) travel to secure a postdoctoral position abroad, (2) conference attendance when the applicant is presenting and is accompanied by a child up to one year and an accompanying adult, and (3) visits to collaborating labs with such an accompanying child for essential experiments not possible at WIS. Applications must be submitted at least three weeks before travel, are not valid during maternity leave, and amounts are unspecified (support typically covers flights only and in some categories only the child and accompanying adult's flights). Applicants must provide a letter explaining the travel request, a CV and publication list, and a letter of support from their advisor sent directly to the office; category‑specific documents are required (e.g., expected graduation, itinerary and costs for postdoc searches; conference name and form of participation for meetings; detailed purpose and schedule for lab visits).
