Travel Grant

About this program

The Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) offers Travel Grants of up to £750 to support HIS members in early-career or trainee posts to present research at scientific conferences or meetings with a strong focus on infection prevention and control and healthcare-associated infections, contributing to registration, travel, accommodation and subsistence costs. Applicants must be current HIS members in an early-career or trainee role and provide evidence of abstract and presentation acceptance for a specific event, as grants are awarded only for relevant research presentations. Deadlines are twice yearly (1 September and 1 February), with the next deadline listed as 1 September 2026 for conferences taking place after that date; successful applicants may reapply after two years and should consult the HIS Research Innovations Strategy 2025–2030 or contact admin@his.org.uk for details.
