Travel Grant

About this program

The Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) offers Travel Grants of up to £750 to support early-career or trainee HIS members presenting research at scientific conferences or meetings focused on infection prevention and control and healthcare-associated infections, contributing to registration, travel, accommodation and subsistence. Grants are awarded only for specific events and relevant research presentations; applications must include evidence of abstract and presentation acceptance and are considered in line with the HIS Research Innovations Strategy 2025–2030. Deadlines are 1 February and 1 September each year (next deadline 1 September 2026 for conferences after that date); applicants must be current HIS members and successful recipients may reapply after two years; enquiries to admin@his.org.uk.
