About this program
The Academy of American Poets, with support from Treehouse Investments, offers the Treehouse Climate Action Poem Prize for exceptional poems that help readers recognize the vulnerability of the environment. Four poets will receive awards of $1,000, $750, $500, and $250, and winning poems will be published in the Poem-a-Day series and may appear in Teach This Poem. Applicants must submit poetry addressing climate or environmental concerns in accordance with the prize guidelines during the September 25–November 25, 2026 submission period.
