Tuition Support for Academics

About this program

The Committee on Psychoanalysis & the Academy of the American Psychoanalytic Association offers tuition-only support for academics attending psychoanalytic training seminars at APsA-approved institutes. Eligible recipients may include graduate students, independent scholars, and faculty in the arts and sciences, including those seeking psychoanalytic knowledge for research or pursuing clinical training; funds are paid directly to the institute. Applicants must submit a 1–2-page statement describing their background, qualifications, financial need, and reasons for study, along with a current CV, tuition documentation, and a support letter from the institute director or dean. Applications must be submitted in PDF format by September 30 for the fall deadline; preference is given to first-time applicants and those pursuing clinical training.
