UConn Archives and Special Collections Research Grants

About this program

The University of Connecticut Library’s Archives and Special Collections offers competitive research grants of up to $1,500 to support travel expenses for short visits to conduct archival research in its collections. Scholars and researchers at any career stage may apply, with priority given to projects demonstrating a clear need for materials held by the department. Applications require a project description of no more than two pages, a preliminary list of collections to be consulted, and a résumé or CV; recipients must complete at least three full research days in residence. Applications are reviewed annually, with a January 30 deadline for visits between March and the following February.
