About this program
The Committee on Psychoanalysis and the Academy of the American Psychoanalytic Association offers a $500 prize for an undergraduate essay applying psychoanalytic ideas to a focused question in any academic discipline. Essays must be 12–20 pages, unpublished and not under consideration for publication, and written for a course or under an instructor’s supervision at a U.S. college or university within one year of submission. Submissions must be made by the instructor, with only one essay permitted per instructor, by September 30.
