Undergraduate Essay Prize

About this program

The American Psychoanalytic Association’s Committee on Psychoanalysis and the Academy offers a $500 prize for an undergraduate essay applying psychoanalytic ideas to a focused question in any academic discipline. Eligible essays must be 12–20 pages, unpublished and not submitted for publication, and written within one year of submission for a U.S. college or university course or under an instructor’s supervision. Submissions must be made by the instructor, with only one entry per instructor, by September 30.
