USASP Leadership Academy

About this program

The U.S. Association for the Study of Pain (USASP) Leadership Academy develops emerging leaders in pain science through expert mentoring, monthly virtual sessions, annual in-person training, and capstone projects advancing research, practice, policy, or education. Applicants must be current USASP members who are 5–15 years beyond completion of their terminal degree and able to participate in at least 75% of required meetings, mentoring activities, and learning sessions. Applications are due October 21, 2026, and must include a cover letter, capstone project description, CV or NIH biosketch, supervisor support letter, and leadership recommendation.
