Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation Responsive Grants

About this program

The Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation offers Responsive Grants of up to $50,000 for defined projects or programs that measurably improve health in the lower Rio Grande Valley. Priority areas include obesity and diabetes prevention, healthy lifestyles, healthcare access, mental health, aging in place, dental health, medical education, breast cancer, and scholarships. Eligible applicants must be qualified 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2), or 170(c) organizations serving Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, or Willacy counties, with requests demonstrating a positive effect on residents’ health. Applicants may not have received funding through the Foundation’s Responsive or Collaborative categories within the previous 12 months; applications are due October 1, 2026.
