About this program

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Alzheimer’s Disease Strategic Fund supports innovative, collaborative research on the biological mechanisms underlying vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia, including links to immune, lipid, endolysosomal, and other disease processes. Awards provide $150,000–$300,000 for up to three years, with no indirect costs, and require timely sharing of data, tools, and resources. Applicants must be full-time Assistant Professors or above (or equivalent) at U.S. academic institutions or Veterans Administration hospitals; each application may have only one primary PI, though collaborators may participate. A letter of intent is due June 15, 2026, followed by full applications on September 14, 2026, through ProposalCentral.
