About this program
The Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society (VESS) offers one $20,000 Resident Research Award for basic and translational research to support residents developing projects during protected academic time and pursuing careers as surgeon-scientists. Research must be completed within 12 months, with a report and presentation required following the award period. Applicants must be residents in an accredited general or integrated vascular surgery program, identify a VESS Active Member as mentor, sponsor, or collaborator, and demonstrate dedicated research time. Applications are due October 1, 2026, and may not include duplicative funding from other resident research awards.
