VESS Resident Research Award – Health Services Research (HSR) – 2027

About this program

The Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society (VESS) offers one $20,000 Resident Research Award in Health Services Research for 2027 to support vascular surgery residents developing projects during protected academic time and building potential for future extramural funding. Research must be completed within 12 months, with a follow-up report and presentation at a subsequent VESS Annual Winter Meeting. Applicants must be residents in an accredited general or integrated vascular surgery program and identify a VESS Active Member as a research mentor, sponsor, or collaborator who confirms dedicated research time. Applications are due October 1, 2026, and applicants may not receive concurrent resident research funding from another society.
