VESS Travel Award – 2026

About this program

The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society offers the VESS Travel Award to support early-career members in visiting centers of excellence for academic inspiration and professional networking, with up to $5,000 in funding for travel-related expenses. Eligible applicants must be active VESS members within ten years of completing vascular surgery training, hold an academic appointment, and be committed to an academic vascular surgery career. Applicants must submit a CV, a 1,000-word essay outlining travel objectives and career connections, and one letter of recommendation from a department chair or clinic/division head, with recommended support from host institutions. Travel must be completed within 12 months of receiving funds, and recipients must submit a 1,000-1,500 word report within 15 months and present findings at the VESS Annual Winter Meeting.
