VESS Travel Award – 2027

About this program

The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society (VESS) offers a 2027 Travel Award of up to $5,000 to support visits to one or more vascular surgery centers of excellence, promoting academic inspiration, professional exchange, and career development rather than specific research. Applicants must be active VESS members within 10 years of completing vascular surgery training, committed to an academic vascular surgery career, and hold an academic appointment at a medical school or qualifying freestanding clinic. Applications, due September 2, 2026, must include a curriculum vitae, a two-page essay and travel plan, a recommendation letter, and at least one letter of support from a proposed host institution. Travel must be completed within 12 months of funding, followed by a report and presentation at the VESS Annual Winter Meeting.
