About this program

The Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women’s Cancers, in partnership with Pelotonia and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), offers the Career Development Award to support innovative basic, translational, clinical, or population-science projects that improve prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and equity for breast and gynecologic cancers. The award provides $206,000 over two years (grant term begins December 1, 2026); applications are due September 3, 2026 (1:00 PM ET) with funding decisions in November 2026. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and an independent early-career faculty appointment (assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor, or equivalent) confirmed at submission, have begun their first independent faculty position within the past six years (with limited allowable extensions), devote at least 75% effort to breast or gynecologic cancer research, and have independent laboratory space. Candidates may not be doctoral candidates, U.S. federal government employees or for-profit employees as grant recipients, concurrent AACR grantees, or prior PIs on substantial independent awards (e.g., R01-equivalent), and must be AACR Active members in good standing at the time of submission; there are no citizenship restrictions but applicants must have work authorization to complete the grant term.
