Violet Ruelokke Primary Health Care Award (PHC bursary for nurses)

About this program

The College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) Trust offers the Violet D. Ruelokke Primary Health Care Award, a yearly bursary of $500 or $1,000 (one award per year) to support registered nurses in developing primary health care leadership through academic programs, PHC-focused non-credit courses, conferences, or research presentations. Applications are accepted in spring (April 15) and fall (October 15) competitions with decisions made in May and November; late applications are not considered. Eligible applicants are registered nurses employed in Newfoundland and Labrador who are CRNNL members in good standing and members of the CRNNL Trust (practicing registrants are automatic members; non-practicing may join for $10). Applicants must submit the appropriate application form with supporting documentation (proof of enrollment/attendance, receipts) and will be reimbursed after approval; selection is based on personal statement, reference, and financial need, and award amounts may be adjusted to confirmed expenses.
