About this program

The European Union Studies Association (EUSA) offers the Wade Jacoby Prize for Best Dissertation in EU Studies, recognizing an English-language dissertation on any aspect of European integration and providing a $200 cash award. For the 2027 prize, eligible dissertations must have been completed, defended, deposited, and awarded the PhD between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2026. Applicants must submit the dissertation electronically by November 2, 2026, with a fully signed and dated committee approval page and a cover letter from the department chair confirming the degree-conferred date; only one dissertation may be nominated per department.
