About this program
The Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers offers the Walter P. Moore, Jr. Award annually to honor a structural engineer’s technical expertise and dedication to developing structural codes and standards. The recipient receives a plaque presented at Structures Congress. Nominees may be submitted by anyone and may demonstrate contributions through publications, presentations, practical experience, research, committee participation, or other relevant activities. Nominations are due November 1, with the recipient recommended by an SEI technical community task committee and approved by the SEI Board of Governors.
