Warren E. Roberts Prize for Best Student Project in Folk Art and Material Culture

About this program

The Folk Arts and Material Culture Section of the American Folklore Society offers the annual Warren E. Roberts Prize for the best student essay or multimedia project on folk art or material culture, with a $100 honorarium. Eligible submissions must be scholarly, research-based, created within the past two academic years, and submitted by current undergraduate or graduate students or individuals who graduated within two years of the deadline; AFS membership is not required. Applicants may submit one unpublished project and must provide all materials in a single document, with identifying information on a separate cover page.
