About this program

The Mellon Foundation offers an eight-week paid internship program at the American Philosophical Society's Library & Museum, providing research opportunities and mentorship for undergraduates. This initiative aims to support Native American and Indigenous Studies, with a focus on archives and special collections.

To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years old, have completed one year of an undergraduate degree program, and have a personal connection or lived experience within Indigenous communities. The internship is open to undergraduates worldwide, with a preference for those who have not yet completed their undergraduate degree by December 2025.
