About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Wilfred D. Iwan Award for Mentors in Mechanics Research to recognize excellence and leadership in mentoring engineering mechanics research and pedagogy. The annual award includes a medal and an honorarium determined by the ASCE Board of Direction. Nominees must be ASCE Society or institute-only members in good standing, excluding Student Members. Nominations are due November 1 and must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
