About this program

Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation, a privately funded charity, supports basic and clinical research on traumatic spinal cord injury aimed at improving neurological and functional outcomes. Priority is given to innovative, translational projects with clear potential patient benefit, particularly those addressing chronic injury, regeneration, neuroprotection, rehabilitation, or recovery mechanisms validated in humans. Applicants must submit an executive summary by September 1; invited applicants may submit full Individual or Project Grant applications by November 2. Projects focused solely on medical complications or technological development are generally secondary or ineligible unless they offer a novel therapeutic or clinically enabling approach.
