Youth Incentive Awards

About this program

The Coleopterists Society offers Youth Incentive Awards to support and encourage student-led projects focused on beetles, including field studies, museum training, workshops, and investigations of beetle biology. One $1,000 Junior Award is available for students in grades 7–9 and one $1,000 Senior Award for students in grades 10–12; recipients also receive a one-year subscription to The Coleopterists Bulletin. Applicants must apply individually, may reside anywhere in the world, and must write their own proposals, although adult advisors are strongly encouraged. Proposals are evaluated for creativity, educational benefit, scientific merit, feasibility, and budget planning, and are due by November 1 annually.
