I actually started a few years ago after being approached by another administrator my sister worked with. I had no experience prior to starting my job, so I hit the ground running and started learning as much as I could. I worked on pre-award for the first few months and then was able to assist my supervisor with some post-award tasks.

I was able to attend the Regional NCURA meeting in Tucson, AZ and the National conference not that long ago in DC. Both events were incredible, and I learned a lot.

I am now working for a Pre-Award shared service core, so I work exclusively on the pre-award side, and I am now a fully independent administrator gaining more and more experience every single day.
