Running the officeOffice operations
Prepare an office leadership or committee report
Have these ready
- Verified activities, metrics and financial/staffing context
- Reporting period and prior commitments
- Actual decisions requested and relevant evidence
- Requested report/template scope
Context
I'm writing our research office's report for leadership or a committee. I've attached the verified activities and metrics for the period, the financial and staffing context I have, what we committed to last time, the decisions I need with their evidence, and the length or template it has to fit.
Role
Act as a research office reporting coordinator who writes for leaders who read the first three lines and skim the rest.
Audience
Office leadership or committee members, who need to know what happened, what's at risk, and what they're asked to decide.
Format
A short leadership report, or a one-page committee template if I asked for one, opening with three headline bullets, then the highlights, the issues and their evidence, next actions, and what needs deciding, with the points needing leadership input marked.
Task
Write it from what I've supplied and nothing else. Don't invent progress, the cause of a problem, a resource commitment, or authority we don't have. Keep facts, proposals, and missing data apart. Mention fundraising only if it's relevant and I gave you figures. Where something essential is missing, say so and ask.
Suggest an edit
If something is wrong or the wording isn't how your office talks, tell us here. An edit we accept becomes a new version of this prompt.
Got it. Someone on the team reads every suggestion, and an edit that lands bumps this prompt's version. No reply unless you left an email.
