2024-2026 Dance Advancement Fund

About this program

Dance/NYC, with support from the Howard Gilman Foundation and Ford Foundation, offers the Dance Advancement Fund to strengthen the resilience and economic justice of the metropolitan New York City dance field. Selected dance makers receive two-year general operating grants of $6,000–$40,000, including ongoing professional development, for the September 1, 2024–August 31, 2026 period. Eligible applicants are dance-making organizations and groups in the metropolitan New York City area with operating budgets between $25,000 and $250,000. The fund prioritizes smaller-budget entities and efforts that support dignified wages, artistic generativity, and equitable, accountable relationships.
