About this program
The California Department of Education offers approximately $30 million through Round 2 of the 2025–26 After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program to support locally driven before- and after-school programs providing academic and literacy enrichment, safe alternatives, and expanded learning opportunities. Eligible public agencies may apply for awards ranging from $50,000 to $203,500 to serve students in kindergarten through ninth grade through partnerships with public schools and community organizations.
