2026 AABIP Research Grant

About this program

The American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) offers one 2026 Research Grant of up to $20,000 for research in bronchology and interventional pulmonology. Applications are due online by April 1, 2026, and must follow an NIH-style format, including a three-page research proposal, investigator CVs, budget and justification, and, when applicable, a mentor support letter. Applicants must be AABIP members in good standing, permanent U.S. or Canadian residents or hold an appropriate work visa, and be within five years of completing formal training; the project must be conducted at an accredited medical institution in the United States or Canada. Awardees must present the study design and subsequent progress at AABIP conferences and submit interim and final progress reports.
