2026 Pediatric Research Alliance Pilots

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University, through the Pediatric Research Alliance, offer pilot grants to stimulate new pediatric research, build collaborations, and generate preliminary data for extramural funding. Two award types are available — Junior Faculty Focused (JFF) and Center Awards — each providing $50,000 for projects running October 1, 2026–September 30, 2027; applications are submitted via the designated online portals. Eligible applicants are faculty and centers within the Pediatric Research Alliance; funded PIs must submit a progress report within one month of project end, present results at specified meetings, and submit an extramural grant application within one year of project completion. Funds may not be used to build databases or infrastructure for Types I/II, investigators may not hold multiple awards with overlapping aims, and prior noncompliance with previous pilot award requirements renders an applicant ineligible.
