2027–2028 Penn Faculty Fellowships: Empire

About this program

The Wolf Humanities Center offers 2027–2028 Penn Faculty Fellowships to standing, tenure-track and tenured faculty in the humanities and allied departments for research related to the annual theme, “Empire.” Awards include research funds of up to $5,000 and, subject to departmental approval, course relief options. Fellows must remain in service throughout September–May and attend weekly Mellon Seminars, presenting research and responding to a colleague’s work. Applications require a CV and a single PDF with a project title, 200-word abstract, and approximately 1,000-word proposal; the deadline is October 1, 2026.
