About this program
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection offers Section 901 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Education grants to support county educational programs on HHW and pollution prevention, as well as pollution-prevention technical assistance for small businesses. Counties may request up to $75,000 every two years, with grants covering no more than 80% of approved project costs. Eligible applicants are all Pennsylvania counties, which must consult the appropriate DEP Regional Planning and Recycling Coordinator before applying. Applications are accepted throughout the year, and eligible costs must have been incurred on or after January 1, 2016.
