About this program
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection offers Act 101, Section 901 grants to support county educational programs on household battery management. Grants may cover up to 80% of approved project costs, with counties eligible to request up to $75,000 every two years for eligible expenses incurred on or after January 1, 2025. All Pennsylvania counties may apply, but applicants must provide a 20% match and consult their DEP Regional Planning and Recycling Coordinator before submitting an application. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
