AAUW Community Action Grants

About this program

AAUW offers Community Action Grants of up to $50,000 to support innovative, community-based projects that help girls in grades K–12 build STEM skills, confidence, identity, and pathways toward STEM education and careers. Projects may include hands-on learning, mentorship from women in STEM, family engagement, and belonging or confidence-building activities, with priority for historically underrepresented communities. Eligible applicants are U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits, tax-exempt K–12 schools, colleges or universities, and organizations fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3); projects must be located in the United States or its territories and designed exclusively for girls. Applications require a Letter of Interest submitted by September 17, 2026, with full applications available by invitation.
