Academic Medical Collection Grants

About this program

Central New York Library Resources Council (CLRC), funded through the New York State Library's Medical Information Services Program (MISP), offers Academic Medical Collection Grants of $500–$4,000 to academic libraries serving healthcare or medical students to purchase physical or electronic textbooks, database subscriptions, and other primarily medical reference materials (other resource types considered case-by-case). Eligible applicants are CLRC member academic institutions that offer healthcare or medical degrees, and institutions may receive only one Academic Medical Collection Grant within any 12‑month period. Awards are paid by check and require submission of receipts after purchase; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with responses in 2–3 weeks, and members applying between January and May 2026 (initial request by May 1, 2026) may be eligible for additional funding beyond $4,000 subject to budgetary availability.
