ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award (early-career computing award)

About this program

ACM, with financial support from Microsoft, presents the Grace Murray Hopper Award to recognize an outstanding early-career computing professional for a single major technical or service contribution; the prize is $35,000 plus travel to the ACM Awards Banquet. Nominations are due December 15, 2026 (AoE) and are judged on the significance, depth, originality, and impact of a recent contribution, typically made early in the candidate’s career (generally before age 35, with allowances for interruptions). Eligible submissions are made online and must include nominator and candidate contact details, a 200–500 word nomination statement, a suggested citation, the candidate’s CV, and 3–5 supporting letters; endorsers must complete an ethics attestation and ACM conflict-of-interest guidelines apply.
