ACM Prize in Computing

About this program

ACM, with financial support from Infosys Ltd., awards the ACM Prize in Computing—a $250,000 prize plus travel to the ACM Awards Banquet—recognizing an early- to mid-career fundamental, innovative contribution in computing whose impact is clear (nominees are typically within 8–16 years of the terminal degree). Nominations are due December 15, 2026 (AoE) and are judged on the candidate’s personal, relatively recent (often within the last decade) contributions and demonstrable impact on computing theory or practice. Submissions are made via an online form and must include nominator and candidate contact details, a 200–500 word nomination statement, the candidate’s CV, and 3–5 supporting letters; endorsers must complete an ACM Code of Ethics attestation, nominators should typically be from a different organization than the nominee, and ACM conflict-of-interest guidelines apply.
