ACM SIGMIS Research Grant

About this program

ACM SIGMIS offers research grants of up to $3,000 to support studies on information systems and IT topics of relevance to both academic researchers and industry practitioners (e.g., IS workforce, ethics, digital work, IS leadership, entrepreneurship). Funds are disbursed half at award and half upon project completion and delivery of a working paper for presentation at a SIGMIS conference and inclusion in the conference proceedings. Applicants must be researchers (academic or practitioner), awardees must be SIGMIS members when receiving funds, and no proposal may include a member of the selection committee or an elected SIGMIS officer; all resulting publications must acknowledge ACM SIGMIS funding. Proposals (up to 10 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt font, excluding diagrams and references) should include benchmarks and at least one clear deliverable, will be evaluated on contributions to theory/practice and applicability across the MIS community, and are typically due in August with awards announced in October; submit proposals by email to Damien Joseph (adjoseph@ntu.edu.sg).
